SFFNZ National Lake Championships 2021
April 17th & 18th Lake Kuratau

LAKE CLOSURE:

The lake will close, midnight Friday 19th March. We apologies for short notice of the venue change and the immediate closure of the Lake, however due to circumstances out of our control, we have no choice.
Failure to comply with this lake closure will result in disqualification from Lake Nationals.

SCHEDULE:

The draw for boats will be held at the briefing.
The competition will consist of 4 x 3 hour sessions.

• Arrival at the lake 7am
• Boats in the water 7:30am
• Briefing session 8am
• Saturday 9am-12noon
• Saturday 2pm-5pm

• Boats in the water 7:30 am
• Briefing session 8am
• Sunday 9am-12noon
• Sunday 2pm-5pm

There will be a prize giving ceremony at the conclusion of the event at approximately 6pm.
Briefing sessions, lunch breaks and prize giving will be held at the lake edge.

CLEAN CHECK DRY:

Please remember to clean your boat if fishing any different catchments Lake Kuratau. We will have a dip bin present if you need any gear cleaned.

RESPECTING FARMLAND:

Please respect the farmers field, so we would appreciate where possible to limiting the damage to the grass. We should aim to confine our movements and parking to 2 narrow strips of grass on either side of the track.

There will be a Portaloo available through out the duration of the competition. Please knock before entering and can the men please lift the seat, aim straight and wipe up your own spills.

MARKERS:

There will be beat markers at the top of the lake. These markers will be on both sides of the lake. You cannot fish outside of these markers.

CONTROLLERS:

Your boat partner for the session will be your controller. All competitors will need to provide their own pens or pencils for scoring, pencils are better in wet conditions. Best to have a spare pen or pencil. Each counting fish must be measured in the net and checked by your controller. The controller will then initial the fish size before you can continue fishing. Fish measurements are rounded up to nearest cm.
