SFFNZ National River Championships 2020/21

Important times and dates

Entry Close: Monday 15th March
Venues closed: Midnight Friday 5th March
The Whanganui River will be closed from the confluence with the Ongarue River upstream to the Piriaka Power station.
The Whakapapa River will be closed completely.

PRACTICE WATER:

For practice, the Whanganui river will be open from upstream of the Piriaka Power station. 

Failure to comply with this river closure will result in disqualification from River Nationals.

SCHEDULE:

As we are competing on two rivers it was decided that the competitors will be split into two groups thereby ensuring that each angler gets a fair opportunity to fish the water that they have drawn. The draw for these groups will be determined by regional placing points.

The competition will consist of 4 x 3 hour sessions.

• Briefing session 7.30am
• Saturday 9am-12noon
• Saturday 2pm-5pm

• Briefing session 8am
• Sunday 9am-12noon
• Sunday 2pm-5pm

There will be a prize giving ceremony at the conclusion of the event at approximately 6pm.
