Held in Slovakia, the championships were held across five sectors over five separate sessions, with competitors rotating across each of these sectors:

Dedinky lake
Poprad River
Bela River
Orava River
Vah River

France won the team event with Czech Republic, Spain and Slovakia following respectively. The Australian team posted one of its best results with 5th place. The New Zealand team placed a respectable result of 17th.
