The National Pairs is a Pro-Am competition aimed at bringing new people into the sport. All members are welcome to enter, but to be eligible for the pairs prizes your pair needs to be made up of a Pro Angler and an Amateur angler.
A pro angler is any angler that has fished in an international comp (Oceanias, Commonwealths, and Worlds Fly Fishing Competitions). If you are unable to get a Pro-Am pair please email Nick Lyon treasurer@sffnz.org.nz
Pro-Pro, pairs are welcome to enter as individual points are still used towards qualification for the National lakes Competition.

Lake Rotoaira is in the D.O.C administered Taupo region and requires a Taupo fishing license and an additional Rotoaira access license. The Lake Rotoaira licenses can be obtained from the Turangi i-site either in person or by giving credit card details over the phone and having it sent to you. Taupo licenses are available online
